Hi, I’m Milly. I love food. I also write the recipes here at Umami Salami.

As mom to three young boys, I’ve come to realize how important food is for our overall health and happiness. It’s not only nourishment for our bodies, but nourishment for our hearts and souls. It’s cheesy, but true. I’m a firm believer that good meal can fix just about anything.  

In our household, we strive for real food for every meal, made from scratch. There are exceptions of course (I’m only human), and you’ll find those here, too. I don’t follow any sort of diet, I don’t buy organic very often, and I definitely don’t count calories. I do try to incorporate fruits and vegetables wherever possible, I do make my own (just about) everything, and I do try my best to make everything as delicious as possible.
